Henry is a managing director in the Merchant Banking Division. He is a member of the global Merchant Banking Investment Committee. He joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1994 and a managing director in 1998. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs Henry practiced law with Davis Polk & Wardwell from 1981 to 1984 in New York and London. Henry serves on the Board of Directors of C&M Company of Korea Hana Financial Group Horizon Wind Energy Cobalt International Energy and McJunkin Corporation. He is chairman of Citizens for New York City a trustee of the Whitney Museum of American Art a trustee of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco chairman of the Investment Committee and a trustee of Grinnell College a member of The Council on Foreign Relations treasurer and a trustee of the Asia Society a trustee and chairman of the Investment Committee of the Japan Society and a member of Sotheby’s International Advisory Board. Henry earned a BA from Grinnell College in 1976 and a JD from New York Law School in 1981. |
