Ms. Stobaugh is an associate at Carrington Coleman whose practice covers a broad range of general business and commercial litigation. Ms. Stobaugh represents clients both in state and federal courts in a variety of complex business disputes, including contract disputes and contract interpretation, covenants not to compete, and breaches of confidentiality and fiduciary duty. Ms. Stobaugh also practices in the area of securities litigation, specifically representing officers and directors in class action litigation. She also handles products liability and consumer litigation under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and similar statutes. In addition, Ms. Stobaugh has significant experience counseling clients on contract and vendor issues. Ms. Stobaugh is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Ms. Stobaugh was admitted to practice in Texas in 2003. A lifelong resident of Dallas, Ms. Stobaugh graduated, cum laude, with her J.D. in 2003 from Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the SMU Law Review Association from 2001-2003, Order of the Coif, and Phi Delta Phi. Her article, The Aftermath of United States v. Virginia: Why Five Justices are Pulling in the Reins on the 'Exceedingly Persuasive Justification,' appeared in the SMU Law Review Journal. Ms. Stobaugh also received her B.A., magna cum laude, and her M.A. in Literary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas. |
