Han (Jason) Yu is an associate in the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department in McDermott Will & Emery's Los Angeles office, where he focuses his practice on licensing, trademark, copyright, internet and new media matters and IP due diligence.
His prior law firm experience includes licensing, development and distribution agreements for the entertainment industry. He counseled clients regarding trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, licensing, internet/new media and e-commerce transactions, and conducted IP due diligence in connection with investor financing matters.
Jason also worked with law firms in Beijing where he advised U.S. and international clients on issues related to investment and conduct of business in Mainland China.
Jason earned his bachelor of law from China University of Political Science and Law and his L.L.M. in intellectual property from the University of California at Berkeley. He is admitted to practice in California and in Mainland China.
