Guy has spent more than 15 years in the pay-media industry, the last 4 of which have been at Entriq’s offices in London where he was Vice President of Operations for EMEA. He has been responsible for delivery of all Entriq propositions in the region, including UEFA, BT Vision, Prosieben Maxdome, Channel 4 and Channel 5, and a variety of other sports and broadcaster related websites including Olympics related work for the European Broadcast Union. Prior to Entriq he worked at BSkyB in the United Kingdom, where he led the Sky Interactive technology team. In this capacity he oversaw a team of ~65 engineers responsible for the development of the technology platform that made BSkyB the world leader in the Interactive Television space. At Irdeto Access, Guy started as a software engineer on the team responsible for the development of the worlds first MPEG2 DVB based Digital TV launches in Australia, South Africa, and Thailand in 1995, before moving on to Manage the Embedded Software & Security team in South Africa, and later head up the company’s Engineering and Customer Services efforts from its offices in the Netherlands. He occupied the roles of VP of Engineering & VP Product Management from 1996 to 2000, and was instrumental in producing Irdeto’s 2nd generation security systems that have led the market since. His undergraduate and postgraduate Engineering degrees were obtained at The University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa, and his early work experience was with Alcatel in the field of Digital Signal Processing. |
