Dr. Tous joined Phyton Biotech in 2005. He leads Phyton’s protein downstream process development, formulation and analytical biochemistry groups. He received his undergraduate and early graduate training in biology and biochemistry at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Dr. Tous completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry with a focus on protein modification at Rutgers University. He most recently held the title of Director, R & D at MedImmune where he was involved in the release, characterization and development of protein therapeutics. Earlier he was employed at Bristol-Myers Squibb (Bristol-Myers Squibb) where he was responsible for chemical development for multiple successfully registered products. Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dr. Tous worked at Schering Plough, where he was part of the team that registered interferon in 1986. |
