Professor Bonn is currently Executive Director of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Radiochemistry at the University of Innsbruck. In addition to his academic activities, Bonn is the Austrian representative to the European Union's CERC 3 and EURACHEM, as well as serving as Chairman of the Austrian Advisory Committee for Research and Technology Development. Bonn has published over 150 papers, has co-authored two books, and possesses global expertise in areas related to the fundamental chemistries and integration processes involved in biomolecular separations, particularly with respect to macromolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins. Technologies developed and patented in Bonn's laboratory provided the technological basis for the founding and commercial success of Transgenomic, Inc.'s nucleic acid separation products. |
