Since joining BBTCM|WG in 1998, Mr. Van Beuren has advised on wide-range of middle-market investment banking transactions valued at more than $3.0 billion. He has led transactions that range in value from $10 million to more than $700 million, and include buy and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures and recapitalizations. Greg has managed transactions involving companies that specialize in information technology (IT), engineering, mission systems, defense electronics, communications, software and non-IT government outsourced services. His clients have served virtually every agency of the federal government, including intelligence, defense, civilian, healthcare, and law enforcement organizations. Greg has successfully closed transactions with many of the industry's leading companies, including Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, L-3 Communications, DRS Technologies, and many more. Notable recent transactions include the sale of Advanced Concepts to L-1 Identity Solutions, Karta Technologies to NCI Information Systems, Pacific Architects and Engineering (PAE) to Lockheed Martin, Codem Systems to DRS Technologies, i2 Ltd to ChoicePoint, SETA Corporation to Apptis, Digital Systems Resources (DSR) to General Dynamics, and Information Spectrum, Inc. (ISI) to Anteon Corporation. Greg is a two-time winner of the quarterly BB&T Sterling Performance Award and an annual winner in 2005. He was also a finalist for the Investment Banker of the Year Award at the Association for Corporate Growth's 2007 Annual Awards Gala. Prior to joining BBTCM|WG, Greg was a Strategy Consultant with the management consulting firm Dove Consulting (now Hitachi Consulting), where he provided due diligence advice in support of M&A transactions; was a Business Analyst with American Management Systems (now CGI Group Inc.); and a Marketing Analyst with CyberMark, a Sallie Mae company. Greg earned an MBA from American University and a BA in History from Loyola University. He also completed coursework on Negotiation Strategies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. |
