Gregory S. Hyman is a member of the firm's Employment Law and Insurance Litigation Departments where he concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law, professional liability, and general negligence defense. Mr. Hyman represents small to large-sized employers at the federal, state and administrative agency level in all types of workplace-related matters including discrimination claims based on race, age, gender, national origin and disability, sexual harassment and hostile work environment claims, retaliation claims, wrongful discharge claims, whistleblower claims, FMLA and NJFLA claims, familial status discrimination claims, breach of contract claims, and claims involving workplace torts. Mr. Hyman also regularly counsels employers on a wide variety of employment-related issues, and assists employers in implementing policies and strategies to prevent employment litigation claims including drafting and reviewing employment handbooks and conducting employee and management training sessions on sexual harassment, discipline and the hiring and firing of employees. He also regularly defends professional liability claims and claims against corporate directors and officers for breach of fiduciary duty, self-dealing and a wide variety of breach of contract claims. In addition, Mr. Hyman has extensive experience representing clients in claims involving general negligence and amusement and recreational risks. Mr. Hyman is admitted to the bars of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York. He is a member of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Camden County and Burlington County Bar Associations. He is a member of the Employment Law Section of the Burlington and Camden County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the New Jersey Defense Association, Society for Human Resource Management, Tri-State Human Resource Management Association and Professional Liability Underwriters Association. Mr. Hyman is also a Trustee of the Burlington County Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Burlington County Bar Association. He holds a J.D. degree with honors from Temple University School, and a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from George Washington University.
