Greg recently became the new managing partner of Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. in 2007. He also maintains an active and broad civil trial practice representing litigants in all Indiana Federal and State Courts. Greg practices law in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, construction law, products liability, medical devices and environmental law. Kanne, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Hammond Division from 1982 - 1984, Greg began private practice with Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. in 1984, focusing on civil litigation, insurance defense and product liability law. In 2007, Greg, at age 49, was elected managing partner of the law firm which includes its main office in Merrillville, Lake County, Indiana as well as Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Greg has handled a wide variety of defense cases, especially in Federal Court based on his background and experience. The current areas of his practice include civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury (plaintiff and defendant), construction law, products liability, medical devices, environmental liability, professional malpractice and appellate advocacy. He has also handled complex litigation in both Federal and State Courts. Greg is former President of the Federal Bar Association of Northwest Indiana, former member of the Calumet American Inns of Court, Lake County, Indiana and a current Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation. As a former Eagle scout, Greg volunteers his time with the Boy Scouts of America. His hobbies include jogging, bicycling and politics.
