Greg King serves as President of Valero Energy Corporation, with oversight of the company’s finance, administrative and legal divisions.
Since joining the company in 1993, King has served in several key positions at Valero, most recently as executive vice president and general counsel overseeing legal, environmental and safety affairs, business risk insurance, and governmental affairs. He has also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, vice president and general counsel, and associate general counsel. In each of these areas he has led important initiatives that have been instrumental in the company’s growth from a regional energy company in 1997 with a single refinery and 170,000 BPD of capacity to the largest refiner in North America with 18 refineries and 3.3 million BPD of capacity.
Prior to joining Valero, King was a partner in the Houston law firm of Bracewell & Giuliani. He received a juris doctorate from the University of Houston and a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. |
