Greer Polansky has been making positive and lasting impact on our clients. In recognition of her experience, success and dedication to service, we were pleased to present her with the 2007 Corporate DevelopMint Consultant of the Year award.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Greer began her working life in Alumni Relations at her alma mater Porter-Gaud School. She soon knew fundraising would be her chosen career. As Director of Development and Public Relations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia, SC, Greer helped improve both their annual and special event fundraising activities. In her post as Director of Development and Marketing for the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry in Charleston, SC, Greer then oversaw a capital campaign that raised $3.6 million. These various experiences hones Greer’s skills in each aspect of the complex process of developing a non-profit’s fundraising program, whatever the starting point.
Prior to joining Corporate DevelopMint, Greer served as Development Officer and then Donor Services Director for one of the largest community foundations in South Carolina, the Coastal Community Foundation. While at the Coastal Community Foundation, Greer devoted significant energy to deepening their planned giving programs and worked directly with donors to help create the best philanthropic options for them through the Foundation.
As a Corporate DevelopMint Senior Consultant, Greer has directed the Planned Giving efforts of many organizations including the McLeod Health Foundation (Florence, SC), The Oaks retirement village (Orangeburg, SC), and Self Regional Healthcare (Greenwood, SC). Her efforts to build and sustain the Planned Giving Program at TROY University (Troy, AL) have transformed a fledgling program into a collaborative initiative which, in just one year, has cultivated 20 planned gifts totaling over $5 million.
As a Senior Consultant, Greer has also led successful multi-million dollar capital campaign for the Hilton Head Children’s Center and the Byrnes Foundation. She is presently leading a successful campaign for one of the nation's best mid-sized zoos.
Well-versed in both donor relations and media interface, Greer brings a unique perspective to our clients as they strive to develop better relationships with their donors and their communities.
Reflective of her dedication to the fundraising field, Greer is the past President of the Lowcountry Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and currently serves as the Community Vice President of the Junior League of Charleston. |
