Grace Chou, Managing Partner joined BVA to focus on searches in the Clean Technology area including energy, water, advanced materials, power management, and related services. Prior to BVA, Grace was with SRI International where she was Director of Business Development and Managing Director, Greater China. She led new initiatives in the clean energy area including renewable energy, water purification, and carbon emission control. She was also involved in technology licensing and spinning off venture-backed companies. In particular, she was instrumental in the formation of materials and energy companies including Polyfuel and Artificial Muscle. Prior to SRI, Grace was with the Chemical & Energy industry where she held management positions in engineering, sales and marketing including international marketing in Europe and Asia. At Air Products & Chemicals, she led engineering and commercial development of industrial gases for the semiconductor and energy industries. She was also a manager at an environmental consulting firm where she led multi-million-dollar projects in air and water quality. Since joining BVA, Grace has been working on searches in the materials and energy space. BVA clients in this space include Deeya Energy, Nanonexus, Mears, Adflex, Innergy Power, Bolder Technologies, Semiconductor Technologies (STI), and Tessera. Grace holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. She also attended the Executive Education Program at Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. Grace is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has developed an extensive network in Greater China through her business development experience. |
