Gordon spent eighteen years with Weyerhaeuser and was involved with all aspects of their wood products business. As Vice President, he handled mergers and acquisitions. In 1987 he left Weyerhaeuser and led a group purchasing a Chicago based medical electronics manufacturing and distribution company, Marshall Electronics. Over the next eight years the company grew from fifteen million to 100 million dollars in sales and was then sold to Omron Corporation of Kyoto, Japan. His experiences in buying and selling businesses for Weyerhaeuser and his own account provide valuable insight when working with business owners. In 1998 he became Chairman and CEO of a newly formed wood products company, Quality Veneer and Lumber (QVL), while still retaining his position with Global Ventures. In 1999 he left QVL and returned full time to Global Ventures. |
