Gordon S. Borteck is Corporate Vice President, Organization and Human Resources of Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI)
Mr. Borteck joined the Company in 1982 as a Personnel Associate at Pfizer’s Brooklyn, N.Y., manufacturing facility. In 1984, he moved to New York City headquarters and held positions of increasing responsibility including Personnel Manager, Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing, and Manager, Corporate Compensation. In 1989, Mr. Borteck was named Vice President, Personnel of the Quigley Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer Inc. In 1992, he was appointed Executive Director, Employee Relations, Minerals Technologies Inc., when the Company became publicly traded through an initial public offering. In 1996, he was named Vice President, Human Resources, for Specialty Minerals Inc. Mr. Borteck was appointed to his current position and was elected a Vice President of MTI in 2002. He is a member of the MTI Management Committee.
Mr. Borteck is a 1979 graduate of the University of Rochester, receiving a B.A. in American History, and in 1981 he received an M.A. in Industrial Relations from Cornell University. Before joining MTI, he worked for the National Labor Relations Board as a Field Examiner and Hearing Officer. |
