Godfried van der Lugt became chairman of the newly founded Postbank N.V. in 1986, one of ING's predecessors. In 1992, he was appointed vice-chairman of ING Group and from 1998 until his retirement in May 2000, he was chairman. He was appointed in the Supervisory Board of ING Group as of April 2001.
Mr. van der Lugt is a member of the Audit Committee.
