Gloria Ysasi-Diaz was elected to the CHP board of trustees in 2006 and brings considerable expertise in business, including leading performance improvement efforts. She joined W.W. Grainger, Inc. in 2005 as the company’s vice president, Grainger Performance System. In September, 2006, Ms. Ysasi-Diaz became Grainger’s vice president, Inventory Management. In this role, she has responsibility for Grainger’s inventory placement and management and logistics.
Previously, Ms. Ysasi-Diaz served as senior vice president of process management for R.R. Donnelley, and in that role she led the implementation of $55 million in improvement programs during two
years across 25 plants. Her prior positions at R.R. Donnelley included serving as vice president of continuous improvement for the company’s $650 million book business; vice president/division director responsible for two facilities in Crawfordsville, Ind.; vice president/division director for a plant in South Daytona, Fla.; and general manager for a $90 million plant with 900 employees in Lancaster, Pa. She began her career as a participant in General Electric’s Manufacturing Management Program and progressed to the position of manufacturing consulting associate.
Ms. Ysasi-Diaz received the Black and Hispanic Achievers Award sponsored by the Chicago Tribune and the Metropolitan Chicago YMCA in 2002 and was named one of the 50 Most Important Hispanics in Technology and Business by Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine in 2003 and 2004. She is a board member of Women Employed Institute, which is a leading national advocate for women’s economic advancement.
Ms. Ysasi-Diaz earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary. |
