Gilles Planté is Joint Managing Director, Markets, with global operational and strategic accountability for the Markets business. Markets provides specialist services in foreign exchange, capital markets, commodities, structured derivatives and interest rate services to organisations throughout the world. Markets is organised into three businesses: Sales, Trading and Operations. Gilles’ primary focus is on the Trading function of the Markets business. Gilles joined ANZ in 1997 after many years’ derivative trading experience in Paris, Tokyo, New York and Singapore. More recently, he was based in London combining the roles of Head of Financial Markets Europe/Americas and Director, Commodities and Foreign Exchange Derivatives. Gilles moved to Australia in November 2004 to become Head of Trading, Markets at ANZ. Gilles holds a Master of Science from ESME in Paris and a Master of International Finance from IAE in Paris. |
