Gerald Heller Biography :

Gerald W. Heller is a Partner in the Litigation Section of the firm and a former Assistant United States Attorney. His principal areas of practice focus on commercial and business litigation and arbitration. He has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including corporate and partnership disputes, and in litigation involving banking, real estate, insurance, employment, environmental, and construction issues. Mr. Heller is the former President of the Federal Bar Association (Maryland Chapter), and previously served as a Member and Chairman of that Association’s Board of Governors. He also is active in various state bar associations, and has been elected to and served on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association and as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation. Mr. Heller received his law degree from the University of Virginia and his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He has lectured and written extensively in his areas of practice, and is a frequent instructor for trial and appellate advocacy and other topics for organizations such as the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.
