Gerald W. Bruce is NitroMed’s Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations. He joined the company in February 2006. During the eight years prior to joining NitroMed, Mr. Bruce was at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where most recently he was responsible for providing the leadership and direction for the US Pharmaceuticals managed healthcare sales team as vice president, Managed Care Sales. From 1983 to 1998, Mr. Bruce held various positions at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, in the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies, culminating in the position of group product director, Analgesics. He was responsible for the development of strategic and tactical plans for what became Ortho-McNeil’s leading product. Mr. Bruce holds a BA in Business Administration from Lincoln University in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania.
