Mr. Ryles is the former Chairman of the Board and majority shareholder of Microserv Technology Services, which Halifax acquired in September 2003. From January 1994 until January 2001, he was also the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ryles’s work experience includes four years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company performing a variety of assignments with a number of different clients. In addition Mr. Ryles has 28 years of experience managing operations across several different industries. Most of these operations were in serious financial and operating difficulty when he assumed responsibility, thus had to be seriously revamped to help them survive and become viable. He also has 15 years experience as a CEO of three different companies in three different industries. In addition, he has served on many Boards of Directors and has been active at the University of Washington for over 15 years. In the past, Mr. Ryles has been active in the Harvard Business School association in Los Angeles and Northern California. Currently he serves as a mentor for graduating Harvard Business School students. He received his BA from the University of Washington in 1958 and MBA from Harvard in 1962. |
