Geraint Anderson is the Vice President and General Manager of the World Wide Service Provider Organization for Linksys, a Division of Cisco Systems, Inc. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of the Linksys business associated with fixed telecom, cable and mobile operators on a world wide basis. He oversees Linksys world wide SP Sales and product development and helps to drive the Linksys consumer and small office strategy through Service Providers. Anderson’s overarching focus will be to secure a profitable run rate business through Service Providers, making Linksys the partner of choice for Connected Home and Connected Office solutions. Anderson brings Linksys more than 17 years experience in the Service Provider Market. Prior to coming to Linksys, Anderson served as the Vice President of Cisco’s Service Provider Business in Europe for five years were he led the Cisco business in fixed telecom, mobile operators and broadcasters throughout Europe. During his 5 years with Cisco he has also led Cisco’s Photonics Business Unit on a worldwide basis, a division of Cisco Optical Networking Group, where he was responsible for the development and marketing of Cisco’s optical long haul products.Prior to joining Cisco, Geraint led Pirelli’s world wide Communications Business based in Milan, Italy where he had full P&L responsibility for Pirelli’s cable, fibre and telecom accessories business. He was also the CEO of Pirelli’s DWDM system group which was sold to Cisco in February 2000. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Pirelli UK, a PLC company with full responsibility for all aspects of the business including seven manufacturing plants, R&D, Sales and Marketing. His background is primarily in sales and business development in the Telecoms and IT market.Geraint Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies (University of Wales) with a TEC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Chester College) and a Diploma in Marketing (Manchester University). |
