George joined RadiSys in 2002, bringing over three decades of technology and systems leadership. Prior to joining RadiSys, George was Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Oresis Communications, a leading provider of converged voice and data packet switching systems. George has also held the CTO position at ADC Kentrox and various leadership positions at Ameritech, and Xerox Corporation. George is a recognized industry expert and a leading technologist and product strategist in the broadband networks & protocols, switching, and digital signal and digital image processing sectors. He led the introduction of numerous innovative products to those industries over his career. George is a leader in multiple industry standards committees and forums, a prolific author, speaker and patent holder, and a member of the Broadband Solutions Hall of Fame. George holds a B.S.E.E. in communications from Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt and an M.S.E.E. in communications from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. In addition, George has completed postgraduate work at SMU in Dallas, Texas and at USC in Los Angeles, California. |
