Mr. Hopper serves as Managing Director of SAMCO Capital Markets focusing on institutional sales. He joined SAMCO in 1998. Prior to his present position, Mr. Hopper held investment positions with Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Principal Financial, and Paine Webber Securities. He has been engaged in the securities business since 1977, focusing on fixed income advice to portfolio managers of banks, trust departments, bond funds and insurance companies. Mr. Hopper began his banking career in 1971 with Fort Worth National Bank in Fort Worth, Texas after serving in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam Campaign.
Mr. Hopper is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the New York Stock Exchange (Series 7) and holds a Uniform Securities Agent State Law License (Series 63).
