George Klaus is Chairman, President and CEO of Epicor Software Corporation, a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for midmarket companies. Since joining Epicor in 1996, Klaus has grown the Company’s revenue base by more than 5 times. Under Klaus’ leadership, Epicor returned to profitable growth yielding a ten fold increase in market capitalization. Klaus led the company to being the 15th best performing stock on NASDAQ in 2003 and the top performing stock in Orange County, California with an increased stock price of 950%. In February 2004, the Southern California Software Council named Klaus CEO of The Year, based on his execution of sales growth, job growth, profitability and product innovation, and his community and industry involvement. Klaus steered Epicor’s vision to develop leading edge technology, delivering the first web services enterprise applications to market. This move has garnered much attention from industry and earned recognition for Epicor’s innovation in the form of multiple industry awards. With over 25 years of experience in high tech, Klaus achieved industry prominence when he restored Frame Technology to consistent profitability through 1995. During his tenure at Frame Technology, a leading provider of software tools, Klaus returned the company to sound business performance and Wall Street ratings of Strong Buy/Aggressive Growth by leading investment firms. Klaus also directed company negotiations with Adobe Systems for the strategic acquisition of Frame Technology which benefited customers, employees and shareholders. He has a history of restoring shareholder confidence and rebuilding corporate stability for high technology companies, including VALID/Cadence Design Systems and Sytek/Hughes LAN Systems. Prior to Frame, Klaus was president of VALID Logic, COO of Cadence Design Systems, and President and CEO of Sytek/Hughes LAN Systems. Other previous executive roles included three years with Amdahl Corporation and thirteen years with Control Data Corporation. Klaus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from California State University, Northridge and did graduate work in math and business at UCLA.
