ManTech International Corporation, Fairfax, VA (1968-Present) - George J. Pedersen is the Chairman of the Board, CEO and Co-Founder of ManTech International Corporation. ManTech is one of the leading providers of innovative technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence Community; the departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security and Justice; the Space Community; and other U.S. federal government customers. ManTech has grown from two people to over 7,300 people with operations in 42 countries. Revenues have grown from $431 million in 2001, just prior to the company’s initial public offering (IPO), to over $1.4 billion in 2007. Revenues for 2008 are currently projected to be $1.7 billion.

ManTech International became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ in February 2002 having successfully executed an IPO and then a follow-on public offering in December 2002. Since that time the company has enjoyed significant internal growth and has made nine strategic acquisitions: Aegis Research Corporation, CTX Corporation, Integrated Data Systems, MSM Security Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Affiliated Computer Services, Gray Hawk Systems, Inc., GRS Solutions, SRS Technologies and most recently, McDonald Bradley, Inc. ManTech has a long track record of providing highly skilled expertise and solutions involving systems engineering; systems integration; software services; enterprise architecture; information assurance and security architecture; intelligence systems development; operations and analysis support; space technology; network and critical infrastructure protection; information operations and computer forensics; information technology; ground based communications system integration and engineering support; and global logistics and supply chain management.

National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and Association for Enterprise Integration (AFEI) - Mr. Pedersen serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the NDIA, a trade association for the defense industry. He is also Vice Chairman of the Education and Lobbying Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors for AFEI. These two are key industry associations.

In 2005, he received the James Forrestal Industry Leadership Award from NDIA for his "demonstrated record of business accomplishment" and his active role in "helping to preserve and strengthen the nation's defense industrial base." Mr. Pedersen was chosen for his "astute business judgment, keen political instincts and a broad understanding of the vital role the industrial base plays in ensuring the nation's security," according to NDIA.

Institute for Scientific Research, Inc. (ISR,), Fairmont, West Virginia (1999- Present).Mr. Pedersen is Chairman of the Board of Directors for ISR, a non-profit organization that performs research and advanced development of software and related technologies including studies for NASA. The ISR is located in West Virginia where the organization is constructing a 263,000 sq. foot R&D facility.

GSE Systems, Inc., Columbia, MD (1993-Present) - Mr. Pedersen is Chairman of the Executive Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of GSE Systems, a public company that is a leading supplier of plant and full scope control room simulators to the nuclear power and petrochemical industries.

In 2006, Mr. Pedersen received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Corporate Growth National Capital Chapter. The award is given annually to individuals in the region that have contributed significantly to the region’s corporate growth over a number of years.

In February 2008, Mr. Pedersen received a Federal 100 Award from Federal Computer Week. He was chosen for having a significant influence on how the federal government buys, uses and manages information technology, and for a risk-taking, vision and pioneering spirit in the federal IT community.
