Geoffrey Polma has a wide range of experience in Texas state franchise, sales and use, and ad valorem tax matters, including representation of taxpayers in state tax controversies involving a variety of substantive areas in both administrative and judicial forums. Mr. Polma has been involved in a number of cases that have led to wide-reaching changes in the tax code. He was on a trial team that won a judgment declaring sections of the Texas Tax Code unconstitutional. He also participated on a trial team that secured a summary judgment ruling granting ad valorem exemption on novel "equitable title" theory.
