Gavin is an experienced operating executive with almost 20 years of success in building value in profitable, growth-oriented organizations. Gavin joined Kaon in early 2005 and is responsible for corporate and product strategy, customer satisfaction, corporate growth and financial performance. Under his direction, the company has introduced the Kaon Advisor platform, and has built a fastgrowing base of industry-leading customers in a variety of markets. Prior to Kaon, Gavin was President and COO of Bluestreak, Inc., a provider of online marketing infrastructure software for agencies and marketers. In this position, he transformed the business from a services model to a profitable ASP software business, while building the industry’s leading platform for delivering, measuring, and analyzing online marketing campaigns. The result of this transformation was a 1,000% growth in revenues and conversion to sustained profitability, three successful acquisitions, and a significant European market expansion. From 1996 to 2000, Gavin served as the President and CEO of Prescient Technologies, Inc., a provider of data quality software solutions for manufacturing companies. Under Gavin’s leadership the company grew to an industry leading position, increasing revenues and profitability each year, serving two hundred customers worldwide, resulting in the successful sale of the company in 2000. Earlier in his career, Gavin served as Senior Vice President of Stone & Webster’s Advanced Systems Development Services unit, where he led the development of software products and consulting services for a number of application areas, including production scheduling, real-time plant control, and engineering design. He founded the Expert Systems consulting practice within Stone & Webster, in 1985. Gavin holds a Ph.D. in Computer-Aided Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master’s of Science degree in Structural Engineering also from MIT. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Gavin was awarded the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineer’s Young Engineer of the Year award in 1989. |
