Gary L. Garber is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, and a member of the Bank's Policy Group. Mr. Garber is responsible for information technology and back-office operations. Mr. Garber joined the Bank in August, 2007. Mr. Garber has more than 25 years of experience in information technology. He has played a significant leadership role in helping large global financial services companies align their business and information technology strategies, improve operational effectiveness and ensure that their technology infrastructure would continue to support rapidly changing business requirements. Prior to joining Boston Private Bank, Mr. Garber was Senior Vice President for Fidelity Investments where for 12 years he built and managed critical enterprise-wide IT engineering, operations, strategic/tactical planning, vendor management, business transformation, project management and consulting functions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Garber held information technology management positions at Merrill Lynch, Depository Trust and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Mr. Garber received his MBA from Baruch College and his BS degree from the University at Buffalo. He lives in Sharon, Massachusetts with his wife Eileen.
