Gary L. Castagna joined American Colloid Co. in 1990 as internal audit manager. In 1991, he transferred to Chemdal as controller. He was promoted to vice president of finance in 1992. In June 1993, he was named managing director of Chemdal Ltd. In August 1997, Castagna was promoted to President of Chemdal International Corp. along with maintaining his duties as managing director of Chemdal Ltd. After the June 2000 sale of Chemdal Castagna worked as a consultant to AMCOL. In April of 2001, Castagna became chief financial officer for AMCOL. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has also completed graduate courses at University of Michigan, and is a certified public accountant. |
