Gary C. Karch is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in its Chicago office. As a member of the Firm’s Tax Department, Gary practices most extensively in the area of structuring and implementing partnership and limited liability company transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures and restructuring of troubled businesses.
Gary’s partnership transaction experience includes service businesses (accounting, advertising, design, engineering, health care, investment banking, money management and real estate brokerage), manufacturing businesses and investment partnerships (securities, real estate and private equity). His real estate experience includes commercial and residential development joint ventures and like-kind exchanges.
Gary is a certified public accountant and a member of the bars of Illinois, the U.S. Claims Court and the U.S. Tax Court. While in law school, Gary was an editor of the Wisconsin Law Review.
