Gary Silbert joined Entergy in 1981 and prior to his current position served in several management capacities in the areas of business development external affairs and customer service. As the Director of Economic Development for Entergy New Orleans Inc. he is focused upon collaborative business retention efforts business recovery post Katrina and business & community development. Silbert has an MBA from Loyola University a BA from the University of Georgia and is a certified community developer. Silbert has been involved in several business and civic organizations including Chairman of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce the Business Council and leadership roles on several not-for-profit boards including MidSouth Delta LISC (Local Initiatives Corporation) Crimestoppers and the Neighborhood Development Foundation.
