Franz has over 35 years experience working with or for privately owned middle market companies. He has served as president, chief financial officer, controller and director of a number of private companies (ITM International, Intraco, Meridien Marketing and Pandick California) with sales ranging from $25 to $100 million and as an audit manager in Price Waterhouse’s New York City office.Green Tree Capital was co-founded by Franz in 1985 to serve the special needs of privately owned middle market companies. The firm specializes in arranging mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for companies with revenues between $5 million and $50 million. In addition, the firm arranges acquisition and expansion financing through the private placement of debt and equity with institutional investors.In 1972 Franz obtained his CPA from New York State. He holds a BS in General Business and Finance from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA in Accounting from New York University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.Franz is a director of the Seattle chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and is Chairman of the Northwest Growth Financing Conference. A member of ACG since 1985, Franz has served in many senior leadership positions - Vice President of the Association for Corporate Growth for 1996-97 and Chairman of the 26th annual lnterGrowth conference held in San Antonio in 1997. He served as Director, Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of ACG from 1994-96 and as a Director and Assistant Treasurer of ACG from 1992-94.Franz has been a director and president of the San Francisco chapter of ACG and director and president of the Los Angeles chapter of ACG. |
