Franklin Zhang is based in Shanghai, China, serving dual roles as commercial operations manager and global customer manager. As global customer manager, Franklin’s role is to work across all aspects of the Shell Chemicals business to develop new and existing relationships with key accounts in China. Franklin joined Shell Chemicals from Arkema, part of the Total Group, where he gained 14 years experience serving as the Asia Pacific business manager based in Shanghai and as marketing manager of the intermediates industrial products based in Philadelphia, US. Prior to his assignment in the US, he was the business group manager of Atofina (Total Group) in China for nine years. Franklin graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He spent a few years as assistant engineer at the Pharmaceutical R&D center in China before moving to Australia to undertake his first commercial diploma studies. He gained his MBA degree in 1999 from the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. |
