Franklin W. Nitikman is an employee counsel in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP resident in the Firm’s Chicago office. He is a member of the Private Client Department. His experience includes a wide range of estate planning and probate areas and he has worked extensively with corporate executives, option and commodity traders and professionals, including doctors, dentists and architects, as well as owners of closely held businesses.
Frank co?authored the book Drafting Wills and Trust Agreements for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE). In addition, he served as chairman of the editorial board for the 9th edition of the Handbook for Lawyers, published by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
Frank is a fellow of both the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and American Bar Foundation, and has been listed in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America since 1987. Frank has appeared in Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in America. He was also named an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of estate planning & probate by Law & Politics.
Frank is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics before professional and lay groups, including the IICLE, the Chicago Bar Association and a number of estate planning councils.
Frank is a past chairman of Division II of the Trust Law Committee for the Chicago Bar Association. He is admitted to the bar of the state of Illinois and of the District of Columbia, and he is a member of the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
