Frank Bonetto, Vice Chairman and Regional Banking Group Head of Bank of the West, joined the bank in 1992. Bonetto is also a member of the Bank’s Board of Directors, its Office of the Chairman, Executive Management Committee, Credit Committee, and Trust Committee. He also serves as the Chairman of BancWest Investment Services and the Investment Products Committee. Bonetto is also a Director of BancWest Corporation, holding company for Bank of the West and First Hawaiian Bank. Bonetto’s prior experience includes 15 years with Citicorp/Citibank in various positions including Director of Banking/California; Area Director/New York and Head of Administration/European Division. The Regional Banking Group encompasses the bank’s entire network of more than 680 locations in 19 states. It includes all consumer and business banking offices, small business lending, retail investments, insurance and residential mortgages. It also includes financing for auto loans and leases, as well as loans for consumer marine and recreational vehicles offered directly through the bank’s branches and indirectly through a nationwide network of 5,600 dealers. Active in civic affairs, Bonetto is a past director of the Bay Area March of Dimes; a board member of the Pacific Coast Banking School, a board member of the Consumer Bankers Association, and a board member of the International Diplomacy Council. Bonetto received a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
Frank Bonetto, 55, has been a director and an Executive Vice President of the Corporation since January 2005 and a director of Bank of the West since 2004. He has served as Vice Chairman, Regional Banking Group, of Bank of the West since 2002, and prior to 2002 was a Senior Executive Vice President of Bank of the West. He joined Bank of the West in 1992 as head of the bank’s retail branch network, and was previously a senior executive with Citibank and with American Savings Bank.
