Frank Azan joined Health Partners as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for all of Health Partners’ customer operations, including oversight of the Information Technology, Member and Provider Services, Claims Administration and Provider Affairs departments. He subsequently was promoted to Executive Vice President and COO, with added responsibility for the company’s Health Care Management and Pharmacy Management areas.
Mr. Azan has over 29 years of broad experience in the health care industry, including a strong background in the areas of operations, provider affairs, and international health care and managed care. Prior to joining Health Partners, Mr. Azan served in several senior management roles with Accounting Plus USA; The TriZetto Group, Inc.; Principal Health Care of Delaware, Inc.; and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Delaware, Inc.
Mr. Azan holds a BS degree in Accounting from Rutgers University. He also earned the designation of Certified Health Consultant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in conjunction with Purdue University, as well as Certified Health Insurance Executive from America’s Health Insurance Plans.
