Frank P. Popoff served as chairman of The Dow Chemical Co. from 1992 to 2000 and as its chief executive officer from 1987 to 1995. He also served as chairman of Chemical Financial Corp. from 2004 until his retirement in 2006.
He also is a director of American Express Co., Qwest Communications International Inc., and Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd. He is a past chairman of the American Chemistry Council and a founder of The Business Council for Sustainable Development. He is also a member of the American Chemical Society and director emeritus of Dow and the Indiana University Foundation. Popoff has been a UTC director since 1996. |
