Frank has devoted over 20 years in the development of networking and internetworking products since 1984. His engineering design experiences includes Ethernet NIC, Local/Remote Bridge, Ethernet/ IP Switch, Router, Terminal and Printer Servers, and ATM adapter for Retix, Emulex, SMC, Vertex Networks and Mitel. Before co-founding iStor, Frank was founder and EVP of privately held Vertex Networks, which specialized in ASIC and system OEM solutions for highly scalable IP/Gigabit Ethernet switches. Vertex was acquired by Mitel Corpation in August of 2000. In the 5-year history of Vertex Networks, Frank had provided technical leadership, strategic planning, and contributions in multiple facets of responsibility for building the company’s business and its packet switching technology from ground zero. Under his leadership, Frank and his R&D team have 27 patents granted or pending by USPTO. Frank holds an M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California, and a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. |
