Ferdinand Bauerdick is vice president and general manager - DuPont Advanced Coatings Systems and DuPont Performance Coatings Europe. He joined DuPont in 1974 as a process engineer for Dacron® fibers at the Uentrop plant in Germany.
From 1976-'82, Mr. Bauerdick held several sales and marketing positions for Engineering Polymers in Germany. He lead the Bexloy® Venture Group from 1983-'87 for Europe and Asia. From 1988-'98 he held various European leadership positions in Engineering Polymers, P&IP, and Nylon Fibers. In 1998 he relocated to Wilmington, Del., and was named global business director - Engineering Polymers. He served on JV Boards in France, Germany, Turkey, Japan and China. He was named to his current position in April 2006.
Born in Arnsberg, Germany, Mr. Bauerdick graduated from RWTH Aachen with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Polymer Science. |
