Ms. O’Brien joined Cardiokine in April 2005 bringing 25 years of diverse financial experience working with emerging growth companies, as well as public companies, primarily in the pharmaceutical and technology industries. Ms. O’Brien’s experience includes operational, merger and acquisitions, financing, initial public offerings, financial reporting, and public company compliance. From January, 2003 to April 2005, Ms. O’Brien was the Corporate Controller at Barrier Therapeutics, Inc (BTRX), a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on dermatology. Ms. O’Brien was part of the working group which took Barrier public in May 2004. During 2001 and 2002, Ms. O’Brien provided strategic chief financial officer support and guidance to growth companies holding interim and part-time CFO positions at a number of early stage venture-backed companies. In 1996, Ms. O'Brien joined Infonautics, Inc as the Director of Finance, following Infonautics’ initial public offering. Ms. O'Brien was named Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer in 1999. From 1994 to 1996 Ms. O'Brien was a Business Assurance Manager with Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. Ms. O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and she is a Certified Public Accountant. |
