Ms. Turenchalk is a Land Use Planner in the Santa Barbara office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and a member of the Land Use and Real Estate groups. She works in all facets of commercial and residential development, including due diligence, policy analysis, project design, entitlement, compliance and project management. Ms. Turenchalk is a certified planner with extensive experience in planning and project management within Santa Barbara County. She assists clients seeking to design and implement sustainable projects. Additionally, Ms. Turenchalk has substantial experience in housing issues and has had considerable success negotiating with community groups and local jurisdictions to achieve support for housing proposals. Having worked locally in both the public and the private sectors, as well as for a non-profit organization, Ms. Turenchalk has a clear understanding of Santa Barbara’s complex land use policies and the entitlement process.
