Erik M. Graber is a corporate finance professional with diverse restructuring experience. He has advised clients in many industries, including financial institutions, real estate, hospitality, long term care and retailing. Erik is experienced at valuing investments and businesses, developing strategic alternatives for the interim management of assets and structuring transactions for the restructuring, financing or disposition of client companies and assets. At Goldin Associates, Erik has worked as financial advisor and restructuring advisor in a variety of roles. In connection with the wind-down of Refco, Inc, a multi-billion dollar commodities and futures broker, Erik is currently overseeing the asset management and liquidation of a portfolio of foreign and domestic equities, emerging markets securities, high yield and distressed debt. As financial advisor to the trustee for InterBank Funding Corp., Erik was responsible for the ongoing asset management and disposition of a portfolio of private equity investments, including the fund’s interests in operating businesses, hotels, undeveloped real estate and mortgage securitizations. Erik’s work has involved monitoring, assessing and valuing illiquid investments and developing liquidation strategies to optimize recoveries to the fund. As restructuring advisor to Redding Life Care, Erik oversaw the restructuring and recapitalization of the client’s defaulted secured and unsecured indebtedness in an out of court restructuring transaction that preserved the equity interests of the major shareholders and allowed operating and financial performance to recover to stabilized levels. Additionally, Erik has provided assistance on engagements for Wood River Capital Management and North Shore Asset Management, involving the asset management and disposition of assets for failed investment funds. Erik has extensive experience structuring and executing public and private placements of equity and debt securities, as well as dispositions and buyouts of middle market companies. Prior to joining Goldin Associates, Erik was a Vice President at Mercury Partners, a merchant banking group focusing on real estate and healthcare companies, and at Pharus Advisors, a mergers and acquisitions boutique serving technology companies. Previously, he held positions as an investment banker at UBS Warburg and PaineWebber Incorporated in their Real Estate Investment Banking Groups. Erik earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA and BS from the University of Pennsylvania. |
