Erich Smith brings more than 20 years of senior level management experience in the hospitality industry to his position as Vice President of Operations for Lodging Hospitality Management. Testimony to his acumen in initiating, organizing, and directing operations and personnel is his rapid rise in the profession through the ranks to executive positions with major hoteliers. Smith has been associated with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts in various properties including New York City, Atlanta, Orlando, and Nashville. He is responsible for LHM’s flagship property, Hilton St Louis at the Ballpark. The Hilton St Louis at the Ballpark won the Hilton Property Renovation of the Year at the Brand Conference in 2006. In addition, the property was recognized for Best in Brand for it’s website. With Erich’s leadership, the property achieved double digit increases in guest service scores and RevPar in year one of operation. Erich is overseeing the property’s new Arch View Ballroom and Ballpark Conference Center additions which will be St Louis’ premiere function rooms.Prior to joining LHM, Erich was General Manager of the downtown Sheraton St. Louis City Center Hotel, which was the occupancy leader in STAR comp set. He achieved the company's highest rating of Outstanding Manager. He was also recognized by Marriott with number one performance ratings from 1990 to 1995; Resident Manager of the Year, New York Region; and winner, New York Region Food & Beverage Department of the Year. Erich Smith, who is noted for his savvy in the important area of team building, is currently a Board Member of the St. Louis Hotel Association. |
