Erica once vowed to never turn into her mother. But after attending the University of Wisconsin (her mom went there in the '60s), graduating with a journalism degree (like her mom) and now writing about Chicago restaurants (which her mother has done for 20-plus years), she has learned to embrace the fact that journalism must be in her genes. Having grown up in the Northwest suburbs, Erica is thrilled to finally live in what she considers the best city on Earth. She loves discovering new restaurants and bars and tries not to go to the same place twice (unless it's one of the Badger bars on game days). When not at her day job editing a trade magazine, you can find her singing along at indie-rock shows, getting over her stage fright at the Old Town School or staying out too late at one of the many fine drinking establishments on the city's North Side. Just don't tell her mom about that last one. |
