Eric Peterson is a managing director and co-head of the debt capital markets group at Piper Jaffray. Peterson pursues the firm’s efforts to expand its high-yield and mezzanine underwriting efforts.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Peterson was a managing director and group head for the Mezzanine Capital Group at Banc of America Securities (BAS). His activities included serving as principal and raising more than $600 million of junior capital for the firm's clients. Prior to that, Peterson was a managing director in the high-yield finance group at Banc of America Securities, where he originated and executed more than 45 high-yield offerings, totaling more than $10 billion in the lodging, travel/leisure, food/beverage, restaurants and specialty finance sectors. Prior to joining BAS, Peterson worked in New York as a member of the Citicorp Securities High-Yield Finance group and completed 23 high-yield and private-placement transactions totaling more than $3.5 billion in proceeds raised.
Peterson earned a Master of Business Administration degree, with High Distinction, from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. |
