Eric Gaber is President of E&C Services Inc., a leader in consulting services, executive recruiting and outplacement counseling exclusively operating within the Engineering & Construction industries. Their client base represents some of the largest contractors, EPC firms and specialty contractors in the country. As President, Eric is accountable for the successful operation of the organization and assuring the high standards that have been benchmarked are realized. Concurrently, Eric takes an active approach in all aspects of the organization completing consulting assignments, recruiting activities and outplacement counseling. Previously, Eric Gaber served as an executive recruiting manager and consultant specializing in the construction industry. This work included developing an understanding of the companies' particular executive work processes that needed addressed. In his capacity, he was responsible for assisting in the development of bonus programs, interviewing techniques, psychological testing systems, executive recruiting and other 'best practices' issues. An example of the companies who have retained his services include: Kellogg/Brown & Root, Gilbane, Morrison Knudsen, Lockwood & Greene, Fru-Con, Turner, Kvaerner, Sordoni, Dick Corp, Encompass Group, Hayes Mechanical, Dynamic Systems, Henkels & McCoy, CB&I/Howe-Baker, Kiewit, Walbridge Aldinger, BE&K, TIC, Yates Construction, Starcon and several others. Eric has also operated as the National Director of Business Development for MateriaLink, an E-commerce marketplace for the construction industry offering procurement solutions. His department was responsible for developing a customer base within the E&C industry to utilize the MateriaLink site. In this capacity he used his extensive domestic and international contacts and industry expertise, to meet with and discuss e-commerce solutions with over 50 of the Top 100 contractors as identified by Engineering News Record (ENR). Eric has actively participated as a member/affiliate of the following associations: AGC, ABC, CFMA, SMPS, DBIA, ISPE, MCAA, HRCC and NECA. With these associations he has participated and attended many conferences and has also been interviewed and quoted several times in ENR magazine as an authority on compensation for construction executives, hiring and retaining employees, e-commerce and the trends of the Construction industry. He also serves on the Editorial Board for the Contractor's Business Management Report (CBMR) and has had several articles published in CBMR as well as the Constrictor's Business Strategist: recent article in ioma. Eric has also participated in speaking at Engineering and Recruiting Summits in Puerto Rico, Houston, Princeton and Denver and is an active participant and speaker at Human Resources conferences in Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Denver, Myrtle Beach and Tampa Bay. Additionally, he has been a speaker related to E-Commerce issues in construction at a CWA and CBDA conferences in Chicago.
