Most recently, Mr. Whittleton was the President and CEO of Information Systems Support, Inc. (ISS). As the Senior Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Whittleton was the chief architect in formulating and implementing the operational delivery environment. This ISO 9001 certified service organization encompassed over 1100 information technology, communications and logistics professionals who were located worldwide and supported operations on a 24/7 basis.
As President and CEO, Mr. Whittleton had the primary responsibility to ensure the achievement of the company's corporate mission, vision and objectives, delivering efficient, responsive and quality products, services and solutions throughout a diverse customer base. As a corporate fiduciary and operating officer, Mr. Whittleton was authorized to negotiate on behalf of and bind the company on contractual commitments.
Mr. Whittleton received a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1984 and a post-baccalaureate in Management Information Systems in 1986 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Upon graduation, Mr. Whittleton began working for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a systems engineer and worked in their Federal Systems Group. In 1988 Mr. Whittleton joined SEC Computer Company as an account manager providing integrated solutions for wholesale distributors and light manufacturers. In 1992 he moved to INTECS International and worked as their Director of Business Development until 1993, when he was promoted to VP of Operations.
Mr. Whittleton joined ISS in 1996 as the EVP and was promoted to COO in 1998. In June of 2005 Mr. Whittleton was promoted by the ISS Board of Directors to President and CEO. He served in this capacity until the company was acquired by CACI. |
