Eric J. Edell is a Vice President focused on U.S. buyout investments in the healthcare sector. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Edell was an Associate at Spectrum Equity Investors, a private equity firm focused on the communications and media sectors. At Spectrum, he was responsible for sourcing and analyzing new investment opportunities. Prior to Spectrum, Mr. Edell was an Analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co.'s Private Equity Group where he worked on a wide range of alternative investment products. His principal responsibilities included working on the development and investment of the group's secondary investment fund. He was also actively involved in both direct private equity investments and manager selections for the private equity fund of funds effort.
Mr. Edell received a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. |
