Eric is a partner in our Bankruptcy, Workout and Restructuring Department. His practice focuses on representation of creditors--particularly property/casualty and health insurance companies and financial institutions--in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and out of court workouts. He has wide-ranging experience in business reorganizations and also financial institution and insurer insolvency proceedings. He also advises clients concerning insolvency risks and transaction structuring including use and enforcement of rights under letters of credit.
Eric serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching a variety of commercial law courses at Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and at Hofstra Law School. Prior to entering private practice, Eric served as Law Clerk for the Honorable John J. Galgay, Federal Bankruptcy Judge, and was an attorney for the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. Eric earned his joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from New York University in 1981 and graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics in 1977 and Delbarton School in 1973. He is a board member of the Special Friends Foundation, a charitable organization assisting children suffering with genetic disorders, and their families.

Eric is admitted to practice in the courts of New York and New Jersey, the Supreme Court of the United States, the Second and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. |
