Eric Sipf has more than 30 years of experience managing public and private healthcare organizations. Among his numerous accomplishments: Served as Eastern division president and CEO for PacifiCare Health Systems, one of America’s largest managed healthcare companies with over $11 billion in annual revenues. Known as one of the founding fathers of managed care in Colorado, Sipf built and helped lead three managed care companies: FHP of Colorado, TakeCare of Colorado and Comprecare, Inc. Led an investment group in acquiring a controlling interest in Utah-based Altius Health Plans, an HMO serving the Intermountain West. Sipf served as Altius’ chairman of the board and ran the company for two years before selling it to Coventry Healthcare. Sipf is a strong believer in consumer-driven healthcare: "In the early years, managed care fulfilled its promise of reducing costs and helping people live healthier lives through preventive care. It became difficult to maintain those achievements as economic silos sprung up physicians, hospitals and insurers competing for control of the employer and consumer’s dollar.
